Hello skwallers,
Despite the fact that I had some French in school, I can't understand everything.
I'm skwalling with a lacroix sk200 and I have a lot of fun with it. But, it's getting older and I might need a new board. I'm very curious about the differences between the sk200 and for example the 183° or 173° or maybe the 180.
I'm 186cm and 86kg, so that does probably matter aswel.
What do you recomment for me?
thanx,
Sam
ps. I'm very sorry about my lack of French. I know that in several topics this issue already has been discussed.

Hey Sam
Thanks for being the first to write some English, Here's a copy of the Thias catalogue so you can see what's on offer

clearcopy1.pdf Favorite boards= TS 167 Powder - 183 X Carve
Sam,
As I explained in a previous post, with your 86 kg and your past experience in an SK200, you have to choose the 183°F. -- skwal's drugs : sold here for free http://www.skwalzone.org --
Yo, Thanx for the advice!! My only doubts about the 183°F are caused by the advertisement texts about this Skwal: 'faster than fast', 'only super G-carving', 'Above all speedlimits!',etc. I'm in the unfortunate situation that mostly I'm sticked to the high season, you know, lot of people on the pistes, not a lot of perfect slopes. Is it stil possible to carve both wide and smal turns with this 'ultimate carve machine'? Or is that no problem with my weight? More pressure = more bending of the skwal = shorter radius?? By the way, what is the radius of the sk200? cheers, sam
Hey Sam,
there's a guy on the bomberonline site: http://www.bomberonline.com who's an alpine board instructor and says he can get volkl skwals w/ bindings for not too much money (I think he said $275) Worth looking into if you're considering buying...I think it was Phil Fell. Cheers, Dan
Sam,
The radius of SK200 is 16 meters... As for the 183° , this is 15 m I 've tried a lot of skwals, and I suggest you to take the 183° or Lacroix contest (130 Euros for the moment), these are the more adapted boards you can find compared to your weight See U ...les dents de la neige

Mpride 183 Xrace serie 2, Thias FC 180
I all,
I'm looking fwd to buy a 180 FC but saw James' message where he seems to be quite certain the 180 board is suited for heavy skwalers. As I'm 67 kg (perhaps 70 with all the beers that Gros chat makes me drink... ) and 1m88, I was wondering if it was the good choice. I've got an old SK200 and want something easier when tied... See u on slopes
