Hi,

Today for a new board you can just choose with the Lacroix X1 see <a href='http://www.ski-lacroix.com/skwalgbfl.htm' target='_blank'>Lacroix website</a> (I've one and i think that's OK for a beginner) and MPride <a href='http://www.mpride.net/index.php?setLang=en' target='_blank'>Xrace 173 and Xrace 183</a> (never tested)

Otherwise, you must search for a second hand board like Thias FC 180 or Thias 173F...

Good luck

Hey Shama!

Thanks for your advice! :D
is difficult to find this tipe of board but I 'll try it, it's a beautiful and different style to ride, I have'nt see many people on the slopes riden, only one rider in Pas de la Casa in Andorra last year. but was nice see it riden.

i guess you got a good advice from shama, however i'd like to add something:

Be careful, not all the alpine snowboard bindings will go on a skwal... some cant be set up 180° arround, or a too wide... tell us what are your bindings and/or post pictures of them.

welcome on skwalzone by the way ;)

Hi Sito,
Where are you from? Spain?
I'll be in Toulouse this winter so if you want I can bring some boards to try in Andorre one week end.
If you are a high skilled alpine racer and you are looking mainly for hard carve you should take the mpride, if you want a board more polyvalent that you can use more easily under all conditions (small crowded slopes for instance or powder), the Lacroix X1 should more suit your needs
Cheers

i'd say that the F2 titanium, will not suit a skwal... do the rotate 360°, how wide are they?

As for the TD2, they wont go either... that's why, they build the TD1 skwal.

Pete, I was measure f2 ti, and they are to wide, they don't work for skwal, :( also I have an older snowpro very strech , the same than snowpro- thias but they don't like me because the bail don't have a good quality in his construction  , and the bail go out of the binding when I ride hard with my race board, they are very dangerous.

I have try buying some skwal from ebay but I haven't good luck. :( But I hope to buy one, today there are an lacroix contest 180 on ebay I'll try to buy, ;) is a good skwal??

Its the board with the hardest structure you can find, so it is very good if you want high speed but you need a lot of room to make your curves. It's not very adapted to slopes of the Pyrénées.
You'd better get a skwal with a short radius like a Thias Easy jungle, Lacroix X1
