Have you ever experienced falling, because the front binding opens?
Usually when I stop on the slope, I open the front binding so as not to
have to sit in the snow. It happened several times last year, that when
I step in, I don't fix the binding correctly: I'm not really inside the
binding with the back side of the front shoe. Since the shoe will leave the
binding as soon as you build up pressure in a turn, this is very
dangerous. So I started to get very careful with this.
But yesterday it happened again. Rather fast turn on rather hard slope,
nearly icy. Result: A blue eye and a little cut above the eye. Luckily no
leg broken
Now I'll start to wear a helmet anyway, and check the binding even more
carefully ...

Hi had this problem sometimes with a rented SK200 in my beginnings mainly because of the bad position of fixs ... top of the foot not exactly in line with tail and because of an inadequation between the profile of my shoes (showing angles) and the profile of the fixs (rounded). The fixs were not Elfgen but I don't remember them. Since I bought my SK200, I never encountered this problem anymore (it is mounted with Elfgen fixs). The only problem I found with Elfgen is the weakness of aluminum parts supporting the bindings ... in attacks in bumps walls, it could break, even if they are perfectly adjusted and tightened. The fact of my 88 kg for 1.87m doesn't arrange the situation I suppose.
Enjoy ! Feu SK200/Elfgen, Contest/Elfgen
