Phiokka bindings: inferior feel?

Postby Jazzz » 21 Dec 2009 14:28

Hi there!
Bought myself a set of Phiokkas to replace my Catek bindings (which I had had to "adapt" to a skwal by cutting them). Reason for my wanting to replace the Cateks was their complexity with too many bolts that tend to unscrew one by one :)

Anyway, the Phiokkas. I lifted the front plate of the front binding and the back plate of the back binding. As a result (maybe not?) I had to set a negative degree to the front binding and still the board was taking me right (i'm a goofy). Second thing - the lever on the back binding takes an enormous amount of effort to buckle and unbuckle, while the grip on the boot is quite loose... Basically the bindings will look like ===/=\===, and the ride is shit...

Q1: Does it have anything to do with lifting the front plate?
Q2: Why does it not fix the boot right? I ride in Head Stratos Pro (AKA Blax).

I am at a loss, thinking of going back to Catek...

Thanks for your advice.

Hello Jazzz,

my english is not really perfect and i don't understand very weel what you meen.

The best for you is send here a photo of your assembling.

A top view and a lateral view.

if you can't put a photo on this site you can send the photo at this adress: phil.aes at free.fr

there's not any reason you have problems to assembling phiokka bindings on your board and your shoes are of course compatible with them.

bye.
